Hiraethog – or “Hills of Great Longing” – is a peaceful and remote region of North Wales – yet easy to reach from across the UK and Ireland.

By Car

From Manchester, Liverpool and the North West

The A55 brings you along the North Wales coast from Chester (linking from the M56, M6 and M53). Leave the A55 at junction 27A, then travel to the Hiraethog and Denbigh Moors region on the A525 via Denbigh.

From Birmingham, the Midlands and South Wales

Travel to the south of Hiraethog on the A5 via Shrewsbury, Llangollen and Corwen.

From Southern Ireland

From Holyhead take the A55 to Junction 11, approaching Hiraethog from the West via Betws y Coed.

From West Wales

Join the A5 from the A470 via Betws y Coed (approaching the Hiraethog region from the west ) or the A494 via Bala (approaching Hiraethog from the east).
