Family cycleThe Hiraethog area has lots of quiet roads and lanes that can be explored by bike – but even better for families are the miles of safe tracks that are especially provided for cycling and walking – where you won’t come across a car and so your family can enjoy the fresh air in safety.

Here are some of the very best:

  • Brenig Trail – A good route around Llyn Brenig for children of around 10 years of age.
  • Bod Petryal – An easy route for the whole family - just 3.5 km in the forest with a picnic site.
  • Up to the Lake – A more challenging route but great for a family with older children.
  • The Alwen Trail – A fabulous walking / cycling trail around the Alwen Reservoir .

There is sure to be a route suitable for your family group.
