A Family Break

Hiraethog gives you the time to do things as a family - away from the hustle and bustle of life! Here are some ideas of how you can make the most of your time in this beautiful area:

• Spend the morning exploring the Alwen Reservoir - on bike or foot. Most of the route is ideal for young legs - and even for learning to ride your bike! Then, in the afternoon, visit Ewe-phoria - see the sheep dogs at work, and the sheep being sheared - then relax whilst the children burn off even more energy in the play area!
• Follow the nature trail around the north of Llyn Brenig - see how many of the animals, plants and fossils you can find! Then an afternoon exploring some of the villages of Hiraethog - to see if you can find any traces of the fairies that are believed to live here!
• Visiting the Go Karting Centre - for a family challenge - and then how about some luxury hot chocolate and a home made pudding in The Riverside Chocolate Shop!

There is so much to do in Hiraethog - that you can tailor your day to the age and energy of the parents (and children)! One thing is certain - that the fresh air and activity will make sure that everybody has a healthy appetite and gets a good night sleep - ready for the next day's exciting adventure!
